I received the following email and wanted to share it as a resource:
I would like to introduce my company, QuannaGourmet- Educational Cooking Media to you as an additional resource to share with Food and Nutrition/Culinary teachers within your local school. My company produce teaching media material that is current, updated and engaging. As a FCS teacher for more than eleven years, I understand the desire to have current media to supplement lesson plans within our classrooms.
My company is meeting the need to have a resource for basic cooking instruction in Math Skills for Measurements, Common Kitchen Tools, Cooking and Preparation Terms, Table and Dining Etiquette, and Safety and Sanitation. To preview any of the DVDs, click on this link at www.QuannaGourmet.com
Feel free to forward this information to those teachers who would most benefit from having my complete Amazing World of Food DVD Series available for classroom use this school year.
Invoices can be downloaded from the website. Or please call for more information or questions. Thank you for your time and any consideration toward my request. I look forward to serving you this school year.

Are you looking for additional funds to purchase pork for your classroom? If so, you are in the right place. The Kansas Pork Association, in partnership with the Kansas Restaurant & Hospitality Association Educational Foundation (KRHAEF), is offering up to $75 in reimbursement for family and consumer science educators.
We invite all Kansas middle schools and high school FACS departments to participate and will select 60 teachers to receive the funding. The purpose is to provide students the opportunity to learn about the nutritional qualities of pork, use and taste pork and to learn more about Kansas pork farmers.
New recipes, additional learning material and pork lesson plans can be found at www.eatpork.org/teaching-tools . Teachers are also encouraged to use their own recipes, learning material and lessons plans. Reimbursement will be made for the cost of pork used in food preparation in the classroom.
To receive the funds, simply click on this link (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/V7GTNDH ) and fill out the brief online survey by October 31. The first 60 teachers to fill out the survey will be chosen to receive funds. Up to two teachers per school can apply. Selected teachers will be contacted by email by the Kansas Pork Association by November 4. Following the completion of the educational unit, teachers will be required to submit receipts for products purchased to KRHAEF. If you have any questions or need additional information, contact the Kansas Pork office at 785-776-0442 or email Jodi Oleen at email@example.com.
